OK guys, I know you guys are going to hate me for this, and I love you all anyways, but since my car already came with 2 prelude type R badges, I finally decided to make my own version of what I want in a type R.

First, a little background. In short, I got my car almost totaled from the passenger side, fixed it up, accident again, fixed it up, and then went to the unofficial K&N meet and bought 2 red honda emblems for $9! Mainly cuz my old ones were lame.

What I want. I want a car, a Honda, that is more than capable on the street as well as on the track. Stiff suspension, but soft enough for daily driving. Comfortable to drive around in, quiet. I want it to be everything I look for in the higher class sports cars, but in a Prelude.

Parts I want to keep:
-F22a1
-P/S
-94+ Center console conversion
-92-93 dash
-Type R emblems
-Stock side skirts
-Accord rear lip
-Current paint
-White wing

My body mod plans:
-First I want to get a real type R front lip
-I want it lower it 1.5'' (I'm thinking just OEM struts with lowering springs)
-Gold/bronze rims in 16s'' or 17s''
-Reupholster my cloth seats to look like the Vtec ones, but with Type R embroidered onto the head and red stitching
-Vtec leather inserts
-Light blue LEDs in the dash
-Replace the dash backlight with white instead of the blue
-Manual transmission
-red stitching shift boot, ebrake boot, and center console cover
-Type R style Momo steering wheel with red H horn button
-New darker grey carpet
-new floor mats with a type R badge on the corner, or just black with red stitching
-New perfect cupholder
-Corking center console buttons
-JDM headlights and foglights
-CF Hood
-CF rear glass spoiler thing
-Sunroof visors
-Door visors
-Gold crossdrilled/slotted rotors
-Moon roof
-Light black tint
-3 Gauge pod(Oil pressure, oil temp, boost)
-Multipurpose electronic monitor by sunroof controls
-Different 710 cap

Engine/other Mods:
-Sequential turbo setup
-lightweight radiator
-Custom valve cover
-F22a6/H23 Intake setup(DONE)
-Traction bars
-adjustable camber kit
-5 lug conversion
-Thicker sway bars
-Lower compression pistons
-Boost controller
-Hondata S300
-Short shifter
-upgraded springs and cam

Thats my list for now, comments, questions appreciated! Please, please, please, DO NOT post anything relating to the fact that there is no Prelude type R. I'm aware that it doesn't exist, so leave that be. Also, if you remark about the fact that all legit Honda type R's are N/A, keep it to a minimum, I am aware of that too. Honda never made a Prelude Type R, I am not going to make a wannabe version of one. I want to make my OWN version. Thanks!

Pics!
New F22 on the block!

White wing!

Rocking my makeshift lip!

Seatbelt cushion thingies!

Pedals!

Leather inserts!

Back to fabric inserts XD

Custom ebrake handle

Console conversion!

Removed second Muffler!

Accord Rear lip!(In progress)

Red emblems!

Accident...

Donner Car! (Gotjncos junked lude!)

Ripped out my A/C sadly

Lucky find! F22a6 dual runner intake manifold! Might as well power up my engine while its just sitting there XD.

Cleaned up that air sucker!

Removed my old plenum

Side by side with other intake plenum

Port comparing. As you can see, the ports on the F22a1 are bigger than the low RPM ports on the F22a6, which means better MPG and Torque at low speeds! Yay!

Beastly clean!

Now I'm just stuck removing the old runners... Confused

Got the old runners out! Damn that thing was a pain...

New runners in!

Gonna put in new injector seals! Don't wanna risk leaking everything! I noticed that my old seals were on the verge of disintegrating on me...

I lost one of my injector clips, so I'm going to the junk yard tomorrow to get me about 8-12 of them! There are tons of F22a1s, so I'll fill my pockets! Need a bunch of nuts too. I keep losing mine!!!

Went to the junkyard and picked me up 4 whole injectors and took the one clip I was missing Laughing Fuel rail in place!

Finished my IM... now I gotta wait until I finish the whole car for me to actually test it... Confused

I may need to hit you up on some of them... I crashed during a touge battle... i thought Kumhos were supposed to be a decent tire! My damn fake brand sunnys gripped way better! After about 5 mins, my tires lost all traction, and after about 8, I was sliding all over the place... about 10 later, My tires didnt grip, started to slide sideways, counter steered and went in face first into the side of the canyon... Confused I hit it going about 50/60. My whole front is jacked up.

Parts jacked up
-radiator
-AC radiator thing
-AC/alternator belt
-Front frameing
-Passenger fender.
-Windshield
-Front bumper
-Makeshift lip
-headlights(JDM time!)

Surprisingly my type R emblem survived and was even able to remove it without braking itXD My front red honda didn't do so hot... its cracked. Even my hood came out good.

I was able to drive the car home, and started to take it all apart, dinged out my passenger fender, and am in the process of trying to hit everything back and removing my radiator.

I have two options now. Fix the car so so, and sell it. Or invest way more than planned and return the car to its former glory, and THEN continue my type R thing(No chance for resell ever)...

Another option is a part out. I don't have many crave-able parts, so i don't think anyone is going to be taking very much...

Thanks man, I knew I shouldn't have gone, but I didn't wanna chicken out, and this is what happened. I was actually doing fine until I lost my cool and took one of the corners too fast. It was a fun run, up until I crashed though. I plan on fixing up the car after I finish straightening out the frame, then maybe paint my bumper with primer and glue most of it up.

Guys, if anyone has spare turn signals, front bumper, headlights, or passenger fender, please hit me up so I can borrow them until I have the cash to pay you guys back for them!

All jokes aside, I would have rather chickened out than take the challenge...

Trust me bro, I was a newbie and I knew my limits ... this was when got my first BB2, it was 4x4 status, with stock suspension...

I was challenged here on scp and friends to do canyon, but I always backed out, until I was able to upgrade...

I'm glad you came out well, and hopefully you didn't have any passengers at the time...

Let me know when you are ready to pick up the radiator...

I went solo. I swore, after my last accident with 2 friends(all three of us came out ok.) that I would never endanger anyones life except my own, next time I did something stupid. I drove alone, I crashed alone, life goes on, and I live without any regrets or black marks on my soul.

I actually can't pick up the radiator anytime soon man. I've no ride XD if you could, next time your around my area, I could maybe meet you half way or something. I don't think you'd be very happy to make it all the way to dusty egypt XD

Update! Mainly for my intake manifold.

Has anyone ever noticed that all original Honda gaskets and seals were green? I was like wow, didn't think Honda liked green so much...

Delusions of grandeur can kill.

The Prelude is a damn fine automobile, but there are for sure versions of it out there that are less well-performing as others. Such as the version that comes with drum brakes in the rear, an automatic transmission, a SOHC economy engine, and in your case nearly stock comfort suspension.

If you want to go fast you should start out with something more suitable to your needs as well as skill level... or upgrade the correct items instead of red honda emblems.

Firstly, I'm not gonna stick with a manual tranny. Second, I'm gonna overhaul my suspension after I get my lude up and running again. Third, I'm gonna go turbo, so my SOHC F22aX is perfectly suitable for my build. Of course, I'll have to rebuild my engine to so I can throw in new bearings and seals, before I turbo it.

FYI I love the red honda emblems. I only got them cuz they were pretty cheap, and my old emblems mismatched and were falling off. I cracked the front one when I crashed, and I plan to put it back on afterward.

Thanks man! I still plan to get the H23 top after I get back on track. I gotta keep it looking stock so the Po-Po don't give me a fix it ticket if I ever get my hood popped! I gotta change out my headers for either the F22a4 headers, or some CARB legal ones. Maybe I should put the stock exhaust on... nah.
